Wherever you may be on your spiritual journey, you are welcome at Faith Church.
We seek to be a community of people who teach the Word of God faithfully as we invest in our children, youth, and adults to help them grow to know, love, and personally experience God more deeply as we join together to be a blessing to our community and world in tangible ways. Whether you simply want to explore your spiritual questions or whether you’re ready to jump right into a community like that, we’d love to have you come check us out. A great place to start is to check us out on a Sunday morning. We meet at the following times:
Summer Sunday Morning Schedule (June 11 – September 3)
8:45 AM – Prayer Group. Join us in the conference room as we pray through a specific discussion topic or part of the Bible followed by personal and corporate church prayer requests. Over and over again, Christ pointed out that prayer and God’s word, followed up by action are our primary weapons in the spiritual battle that is occurring every day. We’d love to have you join us in the front lines of this spiritual battle.
9:45 AM – Worship Service. Children, six years old and up worship with their parents. Sunday school is available for children birth – age five.
Here are some answers to questions that people checking us out frequently ask.
What Should I Wear To Church?
Wear what you are comfortable with. You will see people who are casual and semi-casual. Come as you are.
What Kind of Worship Music Do you Sing?
We sing a variety of songs, including hymns and modern worship songs, that seek to bring theological and biblical praise to God. We use a mixture of different instruments and voices to join in community worship to God.
What Denomination Are you Affiliated With?
We are affiliated with the Evangelical Presbyterian Church. Please read more on our What We Believe Page.
How Do I Join the Church?
Pastor Steve leads a membership class each spring and fall. The class is required for membership, but it is also a great way for anyone wanting to learn more about Faith Church and get to know Pastor Steve and other newer families to the church! Over the course of six sessions, the class covers our vision and values, discipleship and ministry opportunities, EPC distinctives, and what membership is all about.
What Opportunities Outside of Sunday Morning do you Offer for Discipleship, Mission and Fellowship?
We are always welcoming new people into our missional community groups and our men’s and women’s ministries. The first Wednesday of every month, October through April, we offer a Faith and Culture forum that includes a meal and forum on a cultural topic of the day. Over the year, we also offer several opportunities to gather in congregational fellowship with our ice cream social, cookout, Thanksgiving Eve Service, and Christmas Eve service. Please visit our active ministries page to see a full list of our opportunities.
How Do You Minister to and Disciple Children?
We offer one worship service in summer. During the service, nursery care is provided for children birth through age two; children ages three through five attend Sunday School. Children ages six and up worship with their parents. We also offer monthly family activities and both our men’s and women’s ministries offer events that include children. Our fall schedule looks a little different; all children 2nd grade and up worship with their parents and then attend Sunday school after the service. In spring, we invite all the children kindergarten through 5th grade to participate in our annual children’s musical.
Why Do Children Sit with Their Parents During Worship?
We believe it is important for our children to be consistently present in the larger worshipping community. Important life skills like self-control, patience, respect, and the ability to sit still are developed that are difficult to pick up elsewhere. After an initial “learning curve,” children are able to pick up these skills and are better off for it. Furthermore, spiritual formation occurs over time through corporate worship—initially learning the life skills, but gradually picking up more and more of the service. They are able to see their parents model a central aspect of Christian spirituality through their worship of God and attentiveness to the preached Word. It’s very formative for children to see this aspect of their parents’ lives.
