- Message from Dave Snyder, Romans 8:19-25
- Prepare your heart for worship by listening to the worship set.
- COMMUNION BENEVOLENCE OFFERING… Faith Church stands in the historic tradition of connecting Communion with the care for those in need in the body and wider community by taking up a benevolence offering at the end of each communion service. Ushers will be available in the back of the sanctuary to receive your gift if you are interested in contributing. Half of the collection will go to support our wider community through Neighborhood House, and half will be used to help with needs within our Faith Church family.
- EXTEND THE MEAL… Apply the call to invite others into your life and practice hospitality by “extending” the meal today from the Communion Table in worship to lunch with others after worship. Consider inviting others either to your home or out to a restaurant. Try to include at least one family or person that you do not already know well during this time.
HELP WITH OUR SPRING CLEAN-UP…
Save the Date! Our annual spring cleanup is Friday, May 12 and Saturday, May 13. There will be opportunities to spruce up our grounds after a long winter. Specific project details will be forthcoming. Questions? Contact Tom Henson (248.420.1170).
LAWN CARE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED…
Keeping our campus beautiful requires several volunteers to work a few hours each week. Our faithful crew needs additional mowers and trimmers. Contact Tom Henson (248.420.1170) if you would like to join the team or have questions on serving Faith Church in this area.
Wednesday evenings, May 10 – June 14, from 6:30PM-8:00PM. Pastor Steve and Carissa will be hosting our Spring Discovery Class in their home. The class is required for membership, but it is also a great way for anyone wanting to learn more about Faith Church and get to know the pastor and other newer families to the church! Over the course of six sessions, we’ll cover our vision and values, discipleship and ministry opportunities, EPC distinctives, and what membership is all about. Please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know if you will need childcare.
HOW TO HOST A BLOCK PARTY ADULT EDUCATION CLASS…
Block Party 101 is a three 3-week interactive class focusing on one way to practice UP-IN-OUT with your immediate neighbors. We will focus on how to host a successful block party for your neighbors so that you have an opportunity to meet and get to know them in a fun environment. Whether you choose to invite 10 houses or 100 houses, we will discuss planning the party, prayer walks to surround the party with prayer, ideas for a successful party, and much more. Each class will be based on a section of scripture which we will study and extrapolate wisdom and guidance from. If you want to host a party, help someone else host a party… or just attend a Sunday morning study that will BE a party, then come join us May 7th, 14th, and 21st as we wrap up the year and begin to prepare for our summer schedule.
