Announcements

PICK UP A BABY BOTTLE AT THE RESOURCE CENTER… This Sunday is Sanctity of Life Sunday.

LOST AND FOUND WILL BE DONATED… All unclaimed items in the lost and found will be donated on Monday, January 22nd.

JOIN US FOR OUR NEXT IN THE MIX EVENT… Sunday, January 28th from 12:00 PM- 2:00PM. We’re planning to have “Snow Much Fun” with some wintertime activities. Kids of all ages can sled on our great property and participate in a snowman building contest. For those who’d prefer to stay warm we will have games and coloring tables set up inside. Pack yourself a picnic lunch to enjoy following Sunday school and we will provide the hot chocolate.

THEOLOGY ON TAP THIS TUESDAY… Theology on Tap is a group of friends who meet monthly to enjoy a good craft beer or soda together as we discuss how theology relates to everyday life and contemporary questions. Please join us this month on Tuesday, January 23  from 8:00 – 9:00PM at Brooks Brewing in Shelby Township. We will discuss Chapter 6  on Menno Simmons from the book “The Theology of the Reformers.” Reading the chapter we will be discussing ahead of time is encouraged, but not required.

JOIN THE EXPLORER’S MISSIONAL COMMUNITY… If you’re looking for a place to connect that also explores various ways to engage in mission with others from Faith, join us Wednesday, January 24th from 5:45-7:30. After a simple potluck together, we’ll explore different ways to be about Up (Bible study, discipleship), In (fellowship, encouragement), and Out (trying out various ideas and opportunities to serve together). Everyone is welcome, and we will also be ministering to our children, so bring your kids!

SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHERS NEEDED…  If you can help teach Sunday school a few times a month, please contact Ann Strombeck (ann@faith-epc.org).

CHILDCARE HELP NEED FOR ESL GROUP… We need one person to help watch the young children of the women who attend the English as a Second Language Group every Thursday from 11:30AM – 1:30PM. Contact Heidi Morris if you can help.  This is a great way to help serve women outside of our church community as most of the women who attend this group do not attend Faith Church.

OLSHA WALK FOR WARMTH… This cold weather means it must be time for OLHSA’s annual Walk for Warmth! In years past we have had a group that has participated in this fun, informal event, held indoors at Great Lakes Crossing mall. Meet up with other Faith Church friends and walk a lap or 2 around the mall to support OLHSA’s biggest fundraiser of the year, which benefits people in our community that have difficulty paying their electric and heating bills. It will take place on Saturday, February 3 at 9:00, before the mall opens. Interested? Contact Jayna Pyke.
