PICK UP A MISSIONARY OF THE MONTH BOOKMARK AT THE RESOURCE CENTER IF YOU DIDN’T GRAB A BULLETIN.
MEN’S SUMMIT… REGISTER NOW January 19-21. We’ll be exploring how to grow as a man after God’s heart, not through a list of techniques and to-do’s, but by encountering grace in our relationship with God.
SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHERS NEEDED… We have an immediate need for two people to serve once-a-month in the 3 and 4-year-old Sunday school class during the 9:45 AM worship service. All materials are provided. Please contact Ann Strombeck (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you are able to help.
FAITH AND CULTURE FORUM… Join us this Wednesday from 5:45-7:30. We’ll begin with fellowship around pizza and salad (5:45-6:30; suggested $5 donation/person), followed by a time for kids (kindergarten – 5th grade) and the forum for adults (6:30-7:30). This month we’ll explore “Being Alone Together.” There are many benefits of technology, and it is not going away. But technology has a negative side, as well. We’ll explore how technology shapes us to lose touch with our world, with one another, and even with ourselves and some practical things we can do to avoid being alone together and pursue healthy relationships with one another.
CHILDCARE HELP NEED FOR ESL GROUP… We need one person to help watch the YOUNG children of the women who attend the English as a Second Language Group every Thursday from 11:30AM – 1:30PM. Contact Heidi Morris if you can help. This is a great way to help serve women outside of our church community as most of the women who attend this group do not attend Faith Church.
JOIN THE THURSDAY PRAYER GROUP… Andrew Murray once said, “Prayer is the highest part of the work entrusted to us, the root and strength of all other work.” Join us if you are able each Thursday from 12-1 PM for prayer. We will be praying for kingdom breakthrough and gospel fruit in our people, ministries, city, and world, as well as praying for any special needs any of us would like to share.
PRAYING FOR ADULT CHILDREN… Are you weary from concern about your adult children? God gives believers effective tools to do battle against the enemy: faith, hope, prayer and the Holy Spirit. Join us on the first and third Monday of the month from 7:00PM-8:00PM for intercessory prayer in the Conference Room. Confidentiality and support in a non-judgmental atmosphere are cornerstones of this group. If you have questions or would like to submit a confidential prayer request on behalf of your child, please contact Gail Warnick. Our next meeting is Monday, January 15.
