Announcements

MEN’S RETREAT… REGISTER NOW  January 19-21. We’ll be exploring how to grow as a man after God’s heart, not through a list of techniques and to-do’s, but by encountering grace in our relationship with God.

FAITH AND CULTURE FORUM… Join us this Wednesday from 5:45PM-7:30PM. We’ll begin with fellowship around pizza and salad from 5:45-6:30 (suggested $5 donation/person). From 6:30-7:30 we’ll have a time for kids (kindergarten – 5th grade) and the forum for adults. This month we’ll explore “Identity after Christendom”—the pressures on us and (especially!) our children to form our identity in terms of our sexuality, performance, appearance, and other social constructs. We’ll suggest ways we and our children can resist this temptation and understand who we are and what our lives are for in terms of our relationship with God in Christ.

CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICE… Please join us at 7:00PM on Sunday, December 24th to celebrate the birth of Jesus. A light cookie and coffee reception will follow the service. Invite your family and friends to join us! Stop by the Welcome Center to pick up an invite card.

FAITH PANTRY NEEDS… Now that cold and flu season is upon us, the Faith Pantry needs paper products; Kleenex, paper towels and toilet paper. Please leave your donation in our kitchen. Thank you so much for helping those in need at Faith Church.

SUPPORT THE FAITH CHURCH MISSIONS BUDGET WHEN YOU DO YOUR CHRISTMAS SHOPPING AT AMAZON.COM… Visit this page https://smile.amazon.com/ch/38-2625147 and confirm that you would like .05% of your Amazon.com purchases to be donated to Faith Church. We’ll never see what you purchase.

THURSDAY AFTERNOON PRAYER… Andrew Murray once said, “Prayer is the highest part of the work entrusted to us, the root and strength of all other work.” Join us if you are able each Thursday from 12-1 PM in the sanctuary for prayer starting September 21st. We will be praying for kingdom breakthrough and gospel fruit in our people, ministries, city, and world, as well as praying for any special needs any of us would like to share.

PRAYING FOR ADULT CHILDREN… Are you weary from concern about your adult children? God gives believers effective tools to do battle against the enemy: faith, hope, prayer and the Holy Spirit. Join us on the first and third Monday of the month from 7:00PM-8:00PM for intercessory prayer in the Conference Room. Confidentiality and support in a non-judgmental atmosphere are cornerstones of this group. If you have questions or would like to submit a confidential prayer request on behalf of your child, please contact Gail Warnick. Our next meeting is Monday, December 18th.

Each week we collect food for Military Avenue’s Food Bank in the baskets by the front doors. Click here to see their current stock levels/needs. You can help by donating any of the items on the chart, but their most immediate needs are those with less than 30%.
